Art worth viewing twice.
A gallery and consultancy in Sausalito. Twelve years dealing, fifteen advising, and one standard for everything we hang: work we would stand behind ten years from now.

Atelier

We show artists we think of as under-surfaced: not undiscovered, just not yet seen at the scale their work deserves. Photography, painting, sculpture, mixed media. The shows have earned recognition from the Center for Photographic Arts and membership in the San Francisco Art Dealers Association, but the test we actually use is simpler. Does the work hold up when you look again?

Now showing at Upstart Modern in Sausalito,

Shop Camino in Mill Valley, and with Nash Design Group in San Carlos.

Member: San Francisco Art Dealers Association (SFADA)

Consulting

The same eye, put to work on your walls.  We source, negotiate and install for private homes and commercial spaces, whether that's one piece you'll keep forever or a program for an entire building.  We spend our weeks in artist studios, private collections and back rooms most people never see, which means the options we bring you are not the ones you would find on your own.

When a vacant Market Street building needed a reason for people to walk in, we hung Todd Hido's large-scale photograph and a series down the hallway.  The building was leased fully within the year.

Every project starts with a working session.

Why clients choose us :

Fifteen years of curation and consulting. Homes across the Bay Area and the country. First looks at work still in artists' studios and private collections, before it hits the market. And when the piece arrives, we handle framing, hanging, and lighting to gallery standards, so the day it goes up is the best it's ever looked.

How we work together:

Discovery.

We visit your space and learn how you live in it: your eye, your budget, your timeline.

Curation. We bring you a tight, considered selection from our network of artists, galleries, and private collections. No overwhelm, no filler.

Installation. Your art arrives framed, hung, and lit properly. Most art disappoints on a wall because of the last ten feet. We don't skip them.

Later, when life changes. Moving, inheriting work, insuring it, or letting a piece go: we handle appraisals and resale too. We stand behind what we place, years after we place it.

Residential Installations:

The art in your home should say something true about you. Not about trends, not about what a designer's mood board suggested, and not about what happened to be on a gallery wall the month you were shopping. Getting there takes looking at a lot of work, asking questions, and knowing where to find pieces that never reach the open market. That part is our job.

You bring the vision and the walls. We bring twelve years of dealing, fifteen of advising, and the sourcing, vetting, and negotiating that turn a purchase into a collection.

Commercial Installations:

Art that gives people a reason to walk in.

A vacant building on Market Street needed tenants. We installed Todd Hido's large-scale photography, and the building leased fully within the year. That is what art does in a commercial space when it's chosen well: it changes how a lobby, a storefront, or an office floor feels to the person deciding whether to stay.

We curate for retail, hospitality, offices, and public spaces. Purchase or commission, single lobby or full building program, we handle sourcing through installation and work inside your budget and timeline.
